Moylan, Citizens Utility Board Hosts Utility Bill Clinic for Local Elk Grove Village Seniors

“It’s always good to help seniors, especially those on fixed incomes, save money and show them ways they can keep more of the hard earned retirement they have cherished over the years,” Moylan said. “I’d rather have the seniors save their money and enjoy the good quality of life they have been saving for, not be taken advantage by hiking utility bills, harmful cuts, and taxes.”

Moylan, who opposes adding any tax to senior retirement income, hosted an event on Monday, March 20, to help show seniors how they can save money on their utility bills. Moylan was joined by representatives from the Citizens Utility Board who were able to meet with attendees one-on-one and go through recent utility bills to find ways the residents can avoid from over-spending.

“Thank you to the Citizens Utility Board for coming out and helping people with their bills,” Moylan said. “We need to continue to protect vulnerable residents from greedy utility companies who don’t have any interest in their quality of life.”

Moylan serves the 55th District, which includes portions of Des Plaines, Park Ridge, Elk Grove Village, Mount Prospect, Arlington Heights, Rolling Meadows and Chicago.
